JSW Utkal Steel signed an agreement with SMS group for its planned Paradeep steelworks in Odisha.
The sinter plant will have capacity of approximately 5.75 million tonnes per year.
Commissioning is scheduled for May 2028 within the wider 13.2-million-tonne integrated steel project.
Emission- and energy-optimized technology is intended to reduce fuel use, sulphur oxides and carbon dioxide emissions.
Digital process controls will support production stability and more efficient fuel consumption.
