- Turkish deep-sea scrap prices increased after mills returned to the market and domestic long-steel sales strengthened.
- North European HMS 1&2 (80:20) reached $390.75 per tonne CFR Turkey, up by $5.82 per tonne during the week.
- The equivalent US-origin index rose to $395.47 per tonne CFR, maintaining a $4.72 premium over European scrap.
- An Izmir mill booked US-origin HMS 1&2 (85:15) at $400 per tonne CFR, with shredded and bonus scrap at $417.50.
- Further price growth may be limited because Turkish export-rebar demand has not matched the increase in domestic prices.
