- DRI production declined because of delayed iron-ore pellet shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.
- EAF mills consequently increased their scrap consumption.
- One Eastern Province mill raised HMS 1&2 to SAR 1,850/t delivered, excluding VAT.
- Another mill was reported at SAR 1,930/t delivered after reducing its previous price by SAR 70.
- Saudi domestic HMS composite: SAR 1,826.25/t.
- Around 35,000–40,000 tonnes were traded to Eastern Province mills.
- Jeddah HMS 1&2: SAR 1,760–1,800/t delivered.
