
Battery-grade lithium carbonate dropped to 152,100-153,100 yuan per tonne, falling by as much as 5,500 yuan in one session. January futures declined by 8,580 yuan as speculation increased over a possible restart of CATL’s Jianxiawo mine. Lithium hydroxide also weakened to 136,100-141,000 yuan per tonne. Some inquiries appeared after the decline, but cathode producers remained cautious and avoided major restocking because of continuing price volatility.
