Saudi Arabia – Ferrous Scrap: Eastern Province Prices Fall While Riyadh Strengthens

A major Eastern Province EAF producer reduced scrap purchasing prices by 70 riyals per tonne across all grades.
Standard HMS 1&2 consequently fell to around 1,780 riyals per tonne delivered, while shredded scrap reached 1,920 riyals.
In contrast, the Riyadh sheared HMS 1&2 index increased to 1,775.50 riyals per tonne because of stronger induction-furnace demand.
Saudi mills continue to face tight DRI availability due to disruptions affecting iron ore pellet imports.
The national HMS 1&2 composite index decreased moderately to 1,816.49 riyals per tonne.
