{"id":16124,"date":"2025-02-20T09:54:39","date_gmt":"2025-02-20T09:54:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/metarexllcco.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=16124"},"modified":"2025-02-20T09:54:39","modified_gmt":"2025-02-20T09:54:39","slug":"cbi-sponge-iron","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/metarexllcco.com\/index.php\/product\/cbi-sponge-iron\/","title":{"rendered":"CBI (Sponge Iron)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4><strong>Introduction<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">CBI\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is produced<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0from the different residual products manufactured\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">during the production of<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0combined ferrous products and semi-refined raw material containing sponge iron (DRI fines and\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">also<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0other residuals).<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Some producers use cold briquette in their pellet DRI\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">so that they can<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0feed it into their particular furnace. CBI\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">is produced<\/span>\u00a0<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">at a temperature<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0below 650\u00b0 C, and a binder is generally needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Shipping and Logistic<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Since the\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">briquetting<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0process has proceeded at a temperature lower than that used for HBI, some of the\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">key<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0specifications of DRI, like porosity, almost\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">large<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0surface space, and a reactive surface, last in the CBI to some degree, so, basically, CBI can have very similar or the\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">same<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0specifications to pellet DRI and shall be handled in\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">exactly<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0the same way, as the tendency to overheating and generating hydrogen gas, if it gets wet,\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">still<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0remains. It is\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">definitely of significance<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0to know the\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">original<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0source of material used to produce CBI.
