on October 23.<br>It was \u20ac4 higher week on week, despite very quiet trading.<br>Italy\u2019s index stood at \u20ac739.06 per tonne, slightly higher on the day but lower week on week.<br>Production problems at major Italian suppliers limited available material.<br>Nevertheless, subdued purchasing prevented mills from achieving a stronger and broader price \u2014 Plate prices hold as mills target higher 2027 levels<\/strong><br>Southern European heavy plate remained at \u20ac740\u2013750 per tonne ex-works on October 22.<br>Italian producers targeted \u20ac770\u2013780 for January delivery, outside the current assessment\u2019s delivery window.<br>Northern European plate held at \u20ac840\u2013880 per tonne.<br>Trading was limited, and buyers showed little interest in imported material.<br>Uncertainty surrounding carbon costs and emissions verification continued to complicate alternative sourcing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div
