Chinese ferro-chrome declined by 50 yuan to 8,000-8,400 yuan per tonne despite higher coke and electricity costs, mainly because stainless-steel demand remained weak. European high-carbon ferro-chrome increased slightly as buyers returned from the summer slowdown.
